My apartment is spacious and nice. There is one downside though. When it rains heavily, some rain leaks through the ceiling.
Initially, I put a bowl underneath the areas where the water leaks from. It's usually near the air conditioner.
Tonight, the rain was torrential, monsoon-like. I went for a walk while it happened.
Tonight, the rain has leaked through the ceiling more than before. The wallpaper near the ceiling shows several damp patches.
There is a leak near my bed which has wet some of the bed sheet.
The previous native teacher told me about this problem and said the school didn't do much about it.
I've emailed her to ask how she compensated for a wet bed or whether she used to grin and bear it.
What would you do? I'll probably do nothing, this is the only bad thing about the apartment. |

1. Find a hardware store
2. Buy some caulk and a caulking gun
3. check around the air conditioner tubing for leaks, put some caulk in anyway.
4. If you can go outside the window/hole/etc and check.
5. If you're on the top floor, get up the roof to double check for good measure. |
