Here's a whole home entertainments package for sale.
Or you can buy only the Skylife set-top box (which has a 160GB PVR function) and dish.......
....or you can buy only the TV and DVD player....
The story is, my wife and I moved apt and decided to change from Skylife to LG Powercomm.......but, we still have a contract for Skylife until February 5th. We were thinking of just selling off the stuff then, but we found out that we can transfer our contract before February 5th to someone else if they continue paying the monthly fee, 35,000 won, until February 5th.
The 35,000won per month is for the full Skylife package. Every channel they have. The full list is linked below. After December, you don't have to renew that particular package. You can opt for a much cheaper one, if you like.
Then you can start a new 1 year contract if you wish.
EDIT! After reading the fine print on the Skylife website, my wife now tells me that a Skylife contract can't be transferred to a non-Korean. So you'll need a Korean willing to take this contract until February 5th. Then a foreigner can make a new contract in their own name if desired.
The box and dish will be fully owned by you. We have been paying for those by monthly installments for the past 2.5 years.
I'm asking 120,000won for the box and dish. They must be bought together.
You'll then have to have the box and dish installed in your apt. I think the installation fee is 40,000 won.
We also have a 29'' Daewoo TV (CRT, old-style) which we don't need any more. My wife says it must be 7-8 years old. Works just fine though. 60,000won for that.
Finally, a Philips DVD player which has full English menu and English remote. Plus, it's region-free, so you can play all your DVD's from wherever in the world you bought them. 50,000won for that.
Here's the English website for Skylife if you want to see what you're getting.
Channel line-up....

I'm selling the PVR receiver and antenna (dish) which you can see would come to 252,000won new.
I can put photos up tomorrow if anyone wants to see the stuff.
My wife will help whoever buys the Skylife stuff to organize installation at your apt if you have language barrier problems.
I'll deliver any of this stuff for free if you live in the Bundang/Seongnam/ Yongin/ Suji area. Otherwise, we will organize Taek Bae and add delivery cost on to the price.

| Remember, if you don't want the Skylife stuff you can buy the 29''TV and Philips DVD player separately. |

No problem. We will arrange everything. All you need to do is give us your address and the set-top box plus dish will arrive at your apt. You will pay the delivery cost.
Then, if you wish, my wife will arrange the installation of box and dish. A skylife guy will come and set the whole thing up. You pay him 40,000. Then you're good to go.
Remember, Skylife is still the best package in Korea for English language channels. They even have a distinct English language package. No other provider in Korea does that.
You have to follow our 35,000 won package until December. After that, the box and dish are totally yours and you can pick which channel package you want.
I think it's a good deal. Skylife for half the cost. |
