Hey everyone!
I apologize in advance if this thread has already been discussed. The search function isn't working properly.
Anyways, I just bought an Ipod Touch. I am coming to SK in two weeks. My question is this: Will I have any trouble purchasing music and applications from SK?
I've heard different things so I'm bi-curious (south park) about whether or not I should load up on music and apps before I head over. I've heard talk of it being difficult because the apple store online is different for different countries.
Any advice/knowledge would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks! |

If you already have an account it will work fine over here. It all depends on where your billing information is. So if you change your billing information in itunes to Korea, then you will be blocked from the US store. So just keep your info the same and you'll be golden.
Free WiFi is almost everywhere in Korea (I would guess about 70% of the places I go in Seoul has free wifi), and my Itouch is my most used piece of tech here. I use it to read the News and listen to music, helps me keep up to date with what's going on else where in the world. (AP and New York Times are must have free apps if you don't already have them. They save the articles so you can read them offline while listening to music.)
Enjoy it! It's also great for subways and buses, and I use mine as a subway map as well. |

| It will work fine. They are the greatest thing ever and something similar will replace 75% of laptops/desktops in the near future (imo). You heard it here first folks. |

Thanks! That is so great.
Has anyone found any other applications to be particularly useful or great for being in Korea?? |

| I read on here some time ago that you can use skype on the i-touch, as long as you can access wifi and you have some kinda headset. Can anyone confirm this? |

| yeah if you have a 2nd gen ipod touch and you get the new headphones with the mic and the button on it you can use your touch as a phone with skype. i do it all the time. also they have daum maps which are street maps for korea as well as a subway guide for all metros in korea that is available off line. this one has saved me a great deal of time when in a new city so you want to grab that one right away. |
