Hey all,
So my first year is just about up and I am looking to set up my second tour. I know its possible to transfer your visa to your new employer and then they can extend it. I am just a little unsure HOW one does this, but I know its easier then resubmitting everything. Any info or links would rock. Thanks all, I hope your enjoying the summer.

You need a letter of release from your current employer and a signed contract from your new employer. Then, you need to visit your local immigration office and request a visa transfer and extension. These two requests will run you 60,000KRW.
Note: if you are very close to the end of your current contract, immigration may deny the transfer and extension and tell you that you need to apply for a new visa.
Good luck. |

Just in case immi tells you to apply for a new visa, have a envelope full of 1,000 wons ready. Slide the envelope under the immi's desk. He'll change his mind thinking it's full of 10,000 wons or 50,000 wons and tranfer and extend you visa. |
