Any kind of Bell's. People from Michigan know what I'm talking about. Either some Two-Hearted or some Hop-Slam, in lieu of that, any really nice IPA or other 'hoppy' beer. The hoppier the better.
Wiehenstephener- Has a taste vaguely like Cream Corn. Draft Prefered, bottle acceptable.
Pacifico- I think the best of all the Mexican beers, and Mexico has some REAL good beer. Definately the beer discovery of 2009 before I left home. In a close second is Trader Joes Trader Jose Cerveza. Or even just some Modelo.
Mackeson's- Like Guiness but brewed with Lactose. Sweet.
Tetley's- Haven't had a good Tetley's Ale or a cup of Tetley's Tea in too long.
Magic Hat #9.
Any Good Barley Wine for when I want to get obnoxious.
Flying Dog Gonzo Porter
Great Lakes Brewing Co. Edmund Fitzgerald.
Spaten Optimator.
I'm starting to cry now and seriously think about getting busted at customs with a suitcase of Beer.
Screw the six pack, I'll give you a kidney if you can point me in the right direction. |
I will give both of my kidneys and the kidneys of some of my friends for some of those beers. I miss good beer much more than I miss good Western food, since the latter is much easier to find.
I grew up 5 minutes from the Magic Hat brewery. Also good in VT are Otter Creek and Long Trail Ale. |

seriously though, the odds of finding anything from michigan beers, not to mention flying dog, pacifico or magic hat, are DISMAL! i'm surprised you even took the time to post about them. it seems likes an exercise in futility.
my folks were over recently and brought a geary's and gritty's variety sixer from good ol' portland, maine. needless to say, i'm not sharing them with anyone! not my wife, not my father-in-law, not my buddies . . . NOT ANYONE! |

Odd I was thinking of this today, reckoning Budweiser would be one of the most drank beers in the world, and figured maybe some Chinese beer because of the population, even if individually most don't drink much. Snow sounds right as it's a bit cheaper and nearly the same quality as other Chinese beers, which are not good but not utterly terrible.
More important than all this, however, is the lack of decent beer. This should be a huge concern to everyone! Asia gets a low rating. Any jobs for a bum like me in Belgium? |

| Back in Argentina the local brew was Quilmes... tasted like crap but what I would give for a few liters of it. Brahma wasn't that bad either. |

Carlsberg tastes pretty damn good in Belgium.
I was surprised to see Hoegaarden when I arrived.
I find it more surprising how overpriced Asahi beer is here. Well, no, I'm not surprised at all. |

Oh you guys don't know beer until you tried Syvturys ekstra it's Lithuanian it's delicious  .
and I can't believe they sell the wife beater in korea people from the UK should know what lager I mean
but i'd also like to recommend these lot if you come across them 
Kalnapilis (Grand or Original),Svyturys Baltas - Lithuanian
Zywiec, Okocim, Tyskie - Polish
of any bar restaurant in latvia and estonia which brew their own beer in the same building, oh they taste like heaven. |

You're talking about Tesco, right?
I'm just guessing because some else wrote this:

My point is it is better than Hite or Cass, neither of which I can stomach very well. But I admit that is a pretty low bar to jump over.
Anyway, I got a kick out of the term "wife beater" being applied to beer. I had only heard it applied to the white tank top t-shirts back in the U.S. I am sure I will use it this way in the future. |
