|
|
I used the search option for online masters but found no information about accredited programs or their acceptability.
Does anyone have any experience with online masters? Was the program accredited? What degrees are accepted at US institutions?
Also, would I be able to transfer credits from another masters program from home (if anyone knows)?
Thanks |

University of Pheonix has a program with both Masters and Doctorate Education Degrees. You can also check out Capella University. Both of these institutes can be easily found by doing a web search with Google.com |

Thank you for your replies but I was wondering about the acceptance of the degrees.
Do any of you know how well they are recieved say, when I apply for a doctorate at an american university? Do the online degrees hold the same merit (academically) as campus based degrees?
My question is more about accredation of the degrees.
Hopefully I dont sound too jumbled, thanks. |

I checked into it, and mine is accredited. I did some research and called a couple of organizations in canada to find out about that. |

With Australian universities they don't mark anywhere that your degree was obtained by distance education. I have heard that some universities here hold it against you if you have a degree from the University Of Southern Queensland as it is a well known Uni for distance education. It is also highly praised by the Australian goverment over a lot of other universities. Just goes to prove how backward some Korean universities are in management.
Uni course cost are very expensive from British universities. Also if you want a degree in ESL I would go with a Linguistics degree over a TESSOL or similar masters as they age in value more quickly. There are also other things like doing a masters in Special Education which can be anything, for example teaching village kids in China English or something similar. |

Considering a guest to the site left that post in 2003, I doubt an answer is coming. |
