I've been on the G-Market site once,it's mostly in Korean, so you really need a Korean friend to help you if you want to shop there.

Not really I have brought several things from Gmarket and have never had a korean to help me.

You can register on the English sides, do searches on the korean side (tend to have a bigger selection???), pick your item, flick back to the English side and make your purchase. The discounts that were only on the korean side are now on the English side as well.

For comments I throw them in to google translate to get a rough idea of what they are saying (sometimes you have to play with the spacing of the korean words).

When getting things delivered I leave a comment (in korean that i copied from a Korean language book), that I don't speak korean. They pass that on to the delivery people.

The only problem I had was when I ordered a bed. It arrived the next day (i was thinking 3-4 days) and I was at work when they wanted to deliver, so I had to rush home to let the gut in.

Payment is easy, you get a bank transfer number which you can use at an atm

I just bought the Canon IS 200 SX this week. It is a SWEET piece of camera. The price here is a bit cheaper than Canada. I wanted something pretty high end, and I have to say, that zoom is worth the bucks.

My 2nd choice camera was a panasonic, however, they are just too much cash in Korea compared to NA pricing options. I looked at a $500 camera and they wanted 700k+

I didn't like any of the cases I saw for the Canon 200 SX...anyone know where (specifically) I can look for a case? I want something small. I wondering if I should get one with a shoulder strap...seems that is easy for thieves to snatch?

I had a G9 and got rid of it. Pictures were too "noisy" when I enlarged them. I have a Nikon D200 which I absolutely love. Yes, it's bulkier but it takes fantastic images. I've taken it all over the world with me, including several 3rd world countries, with never any problems.
