I was there on Saturday (1/31), and there were plenty of pickles.

The only thing that I've missed in my smaller city, has been whole, black olives. And now... Costco has them! It's a six pack of Lindsay olives for about 12,000, I think. It's a splurge, but I go there only once every other month.

I miss just sitting down with a knife and cutting chunks off a block of cheese to munch on while I watch tv...

I literally walked 20 minutes in the snow today to get to E-Mart (the bus didn't stop for me at the stop the bastard) to find a block of cheese... but nope, all they had were slices... and I know it sounds weird, but I swear even the slices taste different than a block, even if they're the same type of cheese.

I'd like whole grains to make muesli!
and also on the list:
deli meats
berries (fresh or frozen)
wheatable crackers

Whoever mentioned the deli counter--oooh! Wouldn't that be heaven? "Yes, I'd like 500 grams of roast beef, 500 grams of smoked turkey, and 500 grams of honey roasted ham." Cool And then you can walk over to the REAL cheese section and pick up some jack and some cheddar and go home and make a REAL sandwich. None of this white bread, chewy sliced ham, processed cheese stuff you get here......

I echo the fresh pasta. Mmmm. when i cooked dinner for myself when i was living at home, it was either fresh pasta, with fresh tomato sauce, or kalamata olives, hummous, and garlic pita bread. Thats making my mouth water just thinking about it.
