A friend and I are heading to Seoul for a good night out and to see some sites. After that we have a couple of days to kill and would like to go somewhere preferably with a decent beach. We need to head back to Seoul after this so somewhere within 3 hours or so on a train would be ideal. Does anyone have any ideas of where we could go? Or any other ideas for a good chilled couple of days close to Seoul.

head west to Boryeong. That was the site of the mudfest over the last few weeks. The beach there should be nice and quiet now as all the frat boys have left. Other than that I would suggest checking out some of the palaces around town. They are a bit touristy, but they are big enough that there are some quiet corners to really relax and absorb the atmosphere. For nightlife, head to Hongdae. It is the best.
