My friend and I decided to go to Itaewon at 5 or 6 in the morning and I somehow woke up around Samgakji Station. A couple of cops woke me up outside some establishment. A soup restaurant or something. Anyway, I went back to sleep either there or at another place near there and headed back by taxi to my place at around 1 pm or so. I was blind and hammerred.

Anyone find my glasses? They're black-rimmed. Ha. I'm about to go out the door and figure out where exactly it was in Samgakji where I was and ask around. Try the lost and found and the police station and head back to Itaewon and ask around there.

Surprised

Dude, just go to the glasses shop and get a new pair. They're dirt cheap. My glasses were 1/5 to 1/6 of the cost I'd pay for them in Canada, and better quality to boot.

Cheaper than back home ( also Canada) and much faster. Last pair I got here were prepared in 2 hours.

Can't believe anyone takes this creation seriously anymore. I will say one thing; whoever made this sock is remarkably consistent in making the pseudonym a total loser.

A couple days before I left home for Korea (10 years ago, first time to east Asia) I'd been at a send-off party & woke the next morning sans glasses & with a nice bit of road rash on my chin. No recollection.

A quick ad in the local paper's lost & found found me my glasses. The chin wound was an interesting story though. There was this homeless old Asian guy wandered the streets & was widely regarded as nuts & I ran into him that next day. He didnt speak a lick of english but pointed at my chin & dug in his dirty pockets for a vial of some liquid. I let him apply some. Damned if it wasnt some miracle curative -- healed up fine in time for my flight.

Nice omens.

You gotta be joking. They're drunk by 6 pm. Caniff and I play "Dead Korean." If you see one passed out you punch your friend hard on the arm and say "Dead Korean!" An important rule of this game is that person passed out must not be moving.

Next time, why don't you punch the passed out Korean guy instead, whilst Cannif records a video of it on his cellphone and you can upload it on youtube..?
