Here's the description from Amazon:

Panasonic's Lumix Digital Camera automatically starts with an edge. A LEICA DC VARIO-ELMARIT Lens delivers superior optics and an astouning 28mm (equivalent) focal length for a wider visual angle than most other digital-camera models offer. The DMC-LX1 features a 4x optical zoom with a 28 to 112mm capability (35mm equivalent). This and a 1/1.65" diagonal CCD with 8.4 million effective pixels give you superb image quality over a wide shooting range. The Extended Optical Zoom, which minimizes the image degradation that normally occurs with digital zooming, gives you up to 5x zooming power. Normal hand jitter is a common cause for blurred results. The DMC-LX1 has a built-in gyrosensor that detects any hand movement and relays a signal to a tiny microcomputer inside the camera, which instantly calculates the compensation needed. A linear motor then shifts the Optical Image Stabilizer lens as necessary to guide incoming light from the image straight to the CCD. You won't even notice it working--all you'll see are the outstanding results. Multiple aspect ratios result in different still picture resolutions - 4 - 3 Aspect Ratio (Still Image) up to 2880 x 2160; 3 - 2 Aspect Ratio (Still Image) up to 3248 x 2160; 16 - 9 Aspect Ratio (Still Image) up to 3840 x 2160 Video movie capture up to 640x480 2.5 Bright TFT LCD screen with easy to follow menu operation 2 Self-timer modes PictBridge mode allows printing images without a computer Audio with movie and still capture modes (up to 5 seconds per still picture) Uses SD Memory Storage (32MB included) (J&R suggest purchasing an optional SD memory card of 256MB or higher for practical use) Includes Rechargeable Battery - Up to 240 pictures per charge (CIPA Standard) and AC Charger, Data Transfer Software, USB and AV Cables, Lens Cap, Strap Unit Dimensions (H x W x D) 2.20'' x 4.16'' x 1.01'' / Weighs about 8 ounces

It's a killer camera with a top notch lens, true 16:9 wide angle, manual controls, image stabilization, and the ability to shoot RAW. All that in a compact casing that fits in your pocket. I love this camera, but i want to move up to a real deal SLR.

Amazon is asking 500 USD. I'm looking for w350,000. I'm including a leather case, 4gig memory card, two panasonic batteries, connection cables, and the software disc it came with.

I'm in Seoul and will bring the camera anywhere this city's subway system will take me.

I was looking at this camera. For the cost, I went with the Canon IS 200 SX, as it was cheaper and had more features. If I had seen this a week ago, I'd probably have taken you up on the offer. Good price.

For all that you're offering its a really good price. I just bought a leather case for my canon and that was 20k won. Also, if it is an official extra battery, that runs like 40-70k won. If it is an imitation, its more like 20k, but still, a lot of extras in there. Don't give up, someone will snatch this baby up!

Now please don't confuse apples with pears and tell people:
What you get for the 500 dollars is a brandnew LX-3 - I don't even know if you still get the LX-1.

The camera line is top for the small chip, but:
- the LX-1 is from 2005, and as usual with all these small-chip equipped cameras, has a problem with noise. This is nothing new and widely discussed (and don't tell me you only take pictures in broad daylight). To put this in balance: others have it as well, often much worse.
- be aware that in the new model this problem has not disappeared, but lessened considerably. So IMHO consider the development of software over the 4 years and ask yourself if it is worth spending that much on an old digital. Why not consider something newer from another company - you'd be paying the same price for a more recent solution, maybe not the same quality lens though.
- the only way (at the moment) for detouring the noise issue with small digitals is to buy a camera with a bigger chip, i.e. in general a SLR.

But then, since I own the LX-3 myself, I believe the series is a great line and worth the money!

cheers! Chr.

http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-DMC-LX1K-Digital-Stabilized-Optical/dp/B000A7XZI2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1248309942&sr=8-1

i've read about the newer lines, but honestly the LX1 is a solid camera and it really does deliver fantastic pictures. That being said, the camera's been sold. Thanks for looking!

Congrats, I knew it would be for that price. It was a good offering.
