Hi, I have finally found an apartment and now need to buy my own bed. Any suggestion where in Seoul to find a nice and cheap bed to buy? I live near Nakseongdae subway station and can probably get a car to transport it if I need to.
Best Regards!

How much do you want to spend? I bought my bed on gmarket, www/gmarket.co.kr for 90,000 won. It included the bed frame and mattress. You could also go to the secondhand shop in your "gu".
Or you could camp out on the floor for now and wait until someone is selling their bed dirt cheap. |

I have to agree, I came across GMarket the other day, and you can get bed frames, mattresses, and sofas that fold out into beds for agreeable prices. Plus they deliver (always a plus). |

Hi, thanks for the tips but I bought one for 20 000! Pretty big as well, 190x135x45 Now I just need to figure out how to transport it 901 meters.
I bought it from a Korean student. How? Well I went to my closes campus and asked the international office for an online student community. I visited their website ( www.snulife.com in my case, it was possible to register without a student ID). I found a bed directly with help of google translator and sent him a sms. As you know most Korean can read English pretty good I think its also a good way if you want to buy a phone, bicycle or something similar. |

Thanks for posing the Gmarket website, it looks like they have tons of stuff!
Unfortunately I can't seem to understand what it is I am looking at and it's not Korean characters. Is there a specific character add-on I need for Firefox browser? Cause all I can see are small square boxes with 2 rows of numbers in each one. Is this normal? I was expecting proper characters that I could at least get someone to translate.
If anyone could please help me with this it would be infinitely appreciated!
Thanks |

http://www.gmarket.co.kr/index_eng.asp takes you to the semi-English version, but you will still need to make sure character encoding (under View menu) is set to Korean. I've also found that the Gmarket website tends to function better in Internet Exploder than in Firefox. |

Just for future reference for those wanting to purchase a new bed, the Gunja station area in East/Central Seoul is the new bed store capital of Seoul. |

This bed store capital you speak of...
Do I need a Korean friend to go with me?
Do most of these stores deliver as well?
Thanks |
