ok so i flew into Seoul on Monday and am leaving on this Saturday for a month in thailand. my e-2 visa says "s" and has just been stamped on monday, i've asked around and no one seems to quite know if i can leave the country and come back without any problems. if anyone can recommend where to go or who to contact it would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

First, do you have an ARC?
If so, then you can apply for a re-entry visa at the airport immigration, or your local immigration office. 30,000 for single, 50,000 for multiple. You cannot get a multiple at the airport.
If you don't have an ARC card, then you are SOL. You will not be able to get a re-entry. You can leave, but when you return, you will be entering on a visitors visa. |

It takes up to 10 business days to process your Alien registration card once you submit all the necessary documents to immigration. (medical, plus paper work from your employer)
The 's' means you have a single entry, which you used when you flew in on Monday.
You can try to get immigration to rush it, or plead your case with them. |

i'm only here for a total of 5 days this week and so thats why i did not expect any problems, is there no way to claim that this time i entered as a tourist and not thru the e-2? and when i return in a month to then be considered thru the e-2?
like i mentioned my cordinator never mention that this could be an issue so i haven't made any type of arragements nor have i recieved all of my placement info since it is thru Epik..... argggg |

yes. if you leave before you get your alien registration card, your visa will be canceled. |
