i agree that there are some crazy feminists out there, but the same can be said for afro-american studies, and almost any where the analysis is about power and domination that continues to present day.

to call all the feminists of today as hysterical, or a screeching lot is misrepresentative and unfair.

i don't agree with a lot of what radical feminists have to say, but i identify more with them than with the so-called conservative feminists. i would agree that there is a current strand in feminist thought that hearkens back to the '60s that is particularly annoying...but it's just as annoying as blacks that still talk about slavery, jews that still talk about the holocaust... doesn't make it less true or accurate.

who can still deny that patriarchy, for instance, has not/is not an influential and generally accurate picture of society? (other than "conservative" and "republican" feminists and people like ann coulter?

Depends on how you look at it, which issues you select, and which wrongs you think we ought to redress, Megandadam. I could just as easily ask you if you can honesty deny that matriarchy, for instance, has not/is not an influential and generally accurate picture of society?

Here's one explanation. There's a general and generally accurate impression that American politicians serve Zionist interests at the expense of purely American ones. This leads to a lot of speculation as to why, some of it good, some of it not so good.

Just out of curiousity, how many jews have you met in your life time?

For myself I can say that I have met less than the fingers on one hand people who have told me they are a jew.

I have also met many people who have told me that they are a muslim and later on that they hate Israel and want to see it destroyed.

I don't know how many Jews I have met who want to destroy the Arabs, but considering I only have 5 fingers, I guess it cant be too many.

Seriously, 1.5 billion muslims, 10 million Jews? Yeah, I can seriously view the Jews as a terrible force in the world

People wonder why I support Israel, I guess I am a sucker for the under dog, or maybe I just like stirring the kettle.

No, I don't have to agree with everything a country does, but I don't have to give up up them just because the rest of the world seems to have a problem with them.

I guess thats why I have always been pro USA, even if I don't agree with all thier actions.

I once asked a rabbi why the Jews seem to be persecuted whenever and wherever they have existed, for thousands of years. I explained that I am basically ignorant of the history but the Jewish people seem to have some really bad luck. He accused me of being anti-Semitic and refused to answer my question.

Well they were unlucky enough to be the scapegoat of a religion that went on to dominate the western world. I'd say that explains most of their bad luck.
