Good article and sums up the outrageous abuse of power that the Korean telecoms are doing right now. They're so shortsighted and greedy that they fail to realize that a more open market and cheap data rates will create an entirely new revenue stream for them on mobile content development...

Eventually the Korean telecoms will have to cave. Of course, we'd like it sooner than later.... but it'll happen.
If only one of the telecoms would step up to the plate and offer a flat low rate for data. |

I really think that's a win win situation for everyone. I mean even the retards at AT&T understood that a flat data rate is the best way. Curious how much would you guys pay for a flat unlimited data rate for your phone?
For me personally i'd say anything from 30,000 - 50,000 won a month. It's amazing the amount of money they'd make if just say 100,000 people signed up...30,000 won X 100,000 people = 3,000,000,000 won. or about $2.5M PER MONTH. |
