Does anyone know where it is or how to get tickets? It is the same dates as Pentaport and Fuji rock (why the Korean do not schedule these things so they do not conflict is beyond me). Lineup includes Fall Out Boy, Weezer, Patti Smith, and yes it is on the official Weezer website.

Off the top of my head I'd say it's in Jisan Valley.

Tickets, not a clue.

It's scheduled the same week as Pentaport because one of the organisers had a falling-out and they went their separate ways. Ridiculous, yes, but it means neither event will be overly crowded. Which, yeah, is not so good for the promoters.

It's in their nature, and it's the same reason 10 adjummas open 떡볶이 stands next to the first successful one in any given area. They'd rather compete and get their own table scraps than collaborate and split the profits of a massive show.

I'm in. Bring on the Weezer and Patti Smith.
Pentaport is going to really up there game over last year to get me to change my mind

Anyone have a link for the Pentaport festival? Or know who is playing?

Thanks. No bands listed yet but I'll keep an eye out. I looked at the bands from the Fuji festival and tried to figure out who might come over. Bad Brains, The Melvins, and Guitar Wolf are all playing but fat chance we'd get that line up here.

Someone on here seemed pretty confident that Oasis will be headlining one of the pentaport dates...a conundrum for me since Weezer and Oasis are two of my favourite bands, and might be playing at different festivals on the same day!! Confused

I've always lamented on this board the lack of music chatter. There is the occasional off topic forum chat about why such and such band sucks but we do a piss poor job of keeping everyone updated on live acts coming to Korea. I'd even like to hear more about local acts playing.

If you haven't seen either, go with Weezer. I was a big Oasis fan back in the day, but they never impressed me live. Maybe it was the venue...

I have never been a fan of Weezer, but they opened for GN'R back in 2002 and I thought they were superb Very Happy

I've seen Oasis lots of times, but never Weezer so I'm inclined to go with them. Oasis as a live act are hit and miss thesedays simply because it's become routine for them and Noel never looks into it at all. In fact he looks utterly bored. I saw them at The Roundhouse in London last year though and it was one of the best gigs ever!

I've left it too late to get a ticket over the phone line and I'd like to camp for the weekend. Anyone with experience know the chance of getting a couple of camping tickets if I get there early-ish tomorrow morning? I know I can get tickets on the gates however the website says camping is usually sold out, but in your experience is this the case?

Haha, this reminded me of the Arrested Development where GOB and Steve Holt open a frozen banana stand right across from George Michael's frozen banana stand... anyone?

Although you can only book in advance by the 19th of July. I will try and get a ticket for sunday on the day assuming its not sold out.
Does anyone know how they will get home on from the festival assuming that the underground closes at 12??? Are the buses running late? I need to get back to northwest seoul!!

I was thinking about braving it as I love Oasis but needed to save money for my travels this vacation.

Potential mud due to the rainy season & lack of non-camping places to stay would be qualms.

Heck, Japan is experiencing quite a bit of flooding this summer. I wonder how Fiji Rock Fest is panning out.
