I don't know if netbooks can do HD video...? At least not most of them, to my knowledge.
To me it's easy enough to swap media that there is no major reason to get the 16gig over the 8gig, unless you just always like to have a ton of media at hand.
There are a few programs that can do batch converts of media to the proper format so that you can just pretty much press a button and let the computer do its work when your sleeping.
Go to Yongsan or some tech mart and try your hands on both and see which you like. I hear it can be difficult to find an English OS for a netbook here, that's another plus with the itouch is that you can change languages easily on the fly. You can set up the virtual keyboard so that you only have to press one button to switch from English to Hangul.
(There continues to be rumors of an apple tablet coming out this fall/winter, but thats neither here nor there.)
in a nutshell:
itouch: streamlined web and computing with ultra portability with the best touch interface
netbook: full basic computing experience in a tiny package
(on one more note: there is a small learning curve to optimize the itouch to your personal lifestyle by getting used to the touch interface and finding the apps that suite your fancy. But once you get all that figured out the computing experience is pretty fun and streamlined. Nothing like waiting for some kimbap while downloading the latest news. But having a netbook with the full computing interface is cool to. When I first got the itouch the app store was not yet fully implemented so I considered getting a netbook at one point, but once the app store started picking up momentum it made my need for a netbook obsolete. I always love finding a new app that can do crazy cool things in such a small package.) |

| I bought my Asus through Amazon in the US along with a 2GB upgrade (did it myself-super easy). had my family forward it to me here in Korea and was lucky enough not to be charged tax, VAT or whatever... Great little machine, a tad heavy for its size but still ultra-portable. |

I agree with cangel- Asus 1000HE is an affordable netbook with good reviews
& you can upgrade the memory. In fact, it is the most in demand at that price point in the U.S. I went with the Toshiba Netbook NB205-N210 which is also O.K. Has a slightly faster chip.
An iPod touch is great but as you get older it's harder to see what you're doing on Safari since the font is so tiny.
I'd say go with the Asus. You can also find sales on MSI products.

| Just to clarify some misinformation, elgordo stated that the Toshiba has a slightly faster chip than the Asus 1000HE. But in fact, it has the same chip, the Intel Atom 1.66 GHz chip. Most netbooks are currently running the 1.6 GHz chip. Not even sure how much of a difference it makes. |

Still undecided between a netbook and itouch.
Will probably be doing some test drives this weekend or next.
I already have a desktop and a laptop, GF might have a fit If i decide to buy a netbook. Netbook is sounding better already. |

I just got myself a HP Mini netbook.
Very nice machine with an extra battery for 550,000 on Gmarket. The same model was 880,000 in HiMart. |

Was everything in english?
I know if u buy directly from Dell, it comes in English. Im not too sure if I were to get it from Gmarket or anywhere else.
I also know that the reason its sometimes cheaper because these companies are given a set system for Korean distribution. |

Yep, you are right. I was thinking it had the N270 processor instead of the N280 |

No, it comes with Korean XP but it's simple enough to install the English version. |
