Anyone know where to buy cross stitch patterns? Trying to find something to send home.
Don't really need to get the thread or supplies, just the pattern to follow.

Thanks!

I can't really help you out with a location, but the Korean word for cross-stitch is 십자수 (ship-ja-soo).

I don't know why, but I found that word easy to remember. And I don't think I've ever had the opportunity to use it...until now!

Haha. I got a few words like that.
Thanks. Maybe it'll help me ask a Korean. Smile

It's been a few years, but the last time I bought cross--stitch supplies, the patterns couldn't be bought. Rather, you chose out a pattern from one of the books at the store and they made a photocopy for you, for free, to accompany the purchase of the floss and other supplies.

Is that when you make patterns on cushion covers and stuff?

If so, my girlfriend just started some. She got it online, perhaps from auction.com. Either way, online is your best bet for obscure and hard to find stuff.

I've seen several cross-stitch shops in Seoul, but of course, now I can't remember any of them. I do think however, that there's one in Myeongdong Station (underground mall).

But I don't know if you can buy just the pattern, usually you buy a whole package- which includes the pattern, thread and needles.

Like the previous poster said, perhaps it's a good idea to check out the internet.
