But I would still like to update. At least be able to use Windows Live, etc.
I started a similar thread months ago but I am sure things have changed. I was provided with a great link on that thread but that file isn't there anymore.
Thanks for any help. |

I was using a counterfeit windows XP that came with my laptop. However I found it lacked certain abilities, e.g it could not run a system restore or get updates.
Which is why I purchased a genuine W. Vista Ultimate. Radical improvement, however I'm now faced with a couple of other problems: its incompatible with certain drivers on my Canon cameras and it also takes up an awaful ot more space on the disc. Advantages and disadvantages... |

Try plugging in your camera and doing a Windows update. It worked for an old webcam I had.
Disk space? Yeah...but with storage being so cheap these days, it really isn't a big deal. I just bought a 1TB external for 110,000 plus 40,000 for the coolest slot cradle system to mount it. Swap out drives in seconds. Internal storage is pretty much needless; just an OS/Proggie drive. |
