I screwed up. I bought a year subscription to the Korea Herald.

Today--in the foreigner section of the paper--there was an Italian Chef talking about food. A real yawner. And this is the typical pablum the Herald gives its readers.

I should have went with the Korea Times--the race-baiting paper. The stories might be disgusting, but at least they are interesting.

Today the Herald featured a story on rafting in China.

Exciting stuff. Certainly well worth the subscription fee.

Comedy value of the Herald is worth it.

I've been a subscriber to the Herald for about 5 years now and my IQ has gone from 865 to a mere 190. It's a piece of doo-doo rag, but it helps my eyes focus in the early morning. Cool

The number of typos found alone gives me entertainment.

The articles about the Korean wave having a huge following in Antarctica are always entertaining.

I save the Dokdo articles for when I need to go to the can.

Today's big story in the foreign section was a tribute to Latin food. Real hard-hitting stuff.

Today there is a very exciting story about how to take pictures that are in focus. No kidding. Taking pictures that are in focus.

It's very cutting-edge stuff.

Whenever I'm in Seoul I pick up the Herald Tribune. All of their international stories are pretty much taken from the New York Times, so the quality is actually pretty good.

In order to induce a little morning wood, the rag daily showcases a new cellphone being promoted by a couple of inevitably nasty girls. I know sex sells and all, but at least show some girls that don't have buck teeth and wall-eyes. DAMN!
