I recently received my Criminal Records Check back from the FBI and they are still reporting a minor arrest that was dismissed 20 years ago. Will this interfere with mer getting a job in Korea?

Can't answer your question directly, but unless the rules have changed in the six months i've been here, you don't NEED an FBI CRC. I just went down to my local courthouse and had one printed up for $10.

I understand that different states have different systems, however.

Thanks. That might help. My record might be clear with a local check.

Was the local check accepted by the Korean consulate?

yeah try and go local, but I think as long as it isn't sex, drugs, or violence then you may be okay. You can skype Rowan from ESL-Planet. He's pretty good about answering questions even if you're not working with him.
