Cirus will work on a select few bank machines, usually some of the atms in some of the shops. You will get them workin over there, just a metter of looking, but you will get charged 5-6 euro each use so make it worth your while

Bring your sort code , account number, Iban , ibic number etc etc with you to korea!! just go into your bank and tell them you need all your information for your account to allow you to send money into it from abroad. you will get charged a 20 handling fee from the bank between Korea and Ireland that your money will pass through (my money passed through a German crowd and then on to B.O.I). the korean bank will charge you about 12,000 won (6.50) to send it home too.

Thanks
I would advise you to take about 600 to 1000 to cover you for the first month / month and a half you will be in korea without working. Just take over the cash and get it exchanged in a bank in Korea and then put it in your new korean account.

Hey cadburys,
Your ATM will work on certain machines you just have to find one with the Cirrus logo on it.
You can transfer money quite easily, you will need to get your accounts IBAN and IBIC numbers from your bank before you can make international transfers, that also applys for your Korean account if you want to move money from Ireland to Korea. You also need to ask the bank what documents you need before they will let you transfer money home e.g. passport, pay slip etc.
Hope thats helps any bit.
