Hey everyone... got a bit of a problem. Just been informed by EPIK that they miscalculated the number of placements available in Daegu, which means they would like me to work in Daejeon instead.
This will be my first time in South Korea so I know nothing about either of these places other than what little information I could find on the forums.
Given the choice, which city would you pick and why? |

| Daejeon of course!! Because I'll be moving there....lol Anywho i heard both Daegu and Daejeon are good cities to live in. Daegu is a bit larger so it probably has more foreigners there, but from what I've been hearing and reading Daejeon is fun, adequate amount of clubs/bars if you're into that. So i'm sure you will have a blast in Daejeon!! Hope to see ya there... |

I'm sure I'll happy in either place, after all it's my first time in South Korea so anywhere will be all new and exciting. But for some reason I think Daegu would be better because it has a larger population... therefore more clubs/bars/restaurants etc. However I heard Daejeon is a lot cleaner and less polluted so... maybe I'll be happier there. |

I like Daejeon. I've been here almost 5 years now. It is a bit spread out so going out on the town can be a bit troublesome but there does seem to be plenty to do.
It is fairly clean and pollution free by most korean standards. Daejeon actually has very little industry.
I like being centrally located. You are 45 minutes to Seoul by KTX. Basicly every place in Korea is equally accessable.
I don't hang out ith the foreign crowd here so I have very little information concerning that scene. |

I heard the Chigae is better in Daejeon. Anyway, the only thing you will be missing out on in Daegu is a the 1 hour KTX ride to Busan |

| I'll be moving to Daejeon for EPIK as well. I'd like to hang out with Koreans mostly, but I guess my priority is to hang out with whoever is cool, regardless of their background. |

| Actually, I forgot to mention that the Korean food in Daejeon generally sucks. |

The only cool thing about Daejeon is the smoking room at the baseball stadium. |
