I do not wish for this to be a discussion on private lessons in Korea, especially since that's against the TOS. However, I am wondering if participating in a part-time online tutoring gig that's based outside of Korea would break E-2 visa rules. What do you think?

| With that type of thing, only use your home country when referring to where you are. You should also report your earnings to your nation's masters, unless you want a whipping. |

| I don't see how that would be illegal in Korea. I think the main purpose of all laws regarding privates is to regulate taxes and give employers more control over the visas they've sponsored. Otherwise you could just quit your job and teach privates. If you're tutoring someone online who is out of Korea then I don't see how that would violate the law. But you might want some more advice on that. |
