Does anyone have any experience of the above?
Or has anyone heard anything about them?
Also, is there a shortage of jobs in Busan? The recruiter said there may be more jobs in cities outside Busan.
Shoud I stick with my guns for Busan?

I didn't care for ESL Park. I felt like I got an attitude from the recruiter, and whenever I'd give her my preferences, she'd constantly say "Oh, you don't want to live there. You want to live HERE..." Etc. It was more of her telling me what I wanted than vice-versa.

The final straw was when she insisted I mail all of my documents to her before I even interviewed with for a position (thus forcing me to go through their agency). I asked if I should wait until I had a contract to send back and send them all together, and she said that's not how it was done, and that I was guaranteed to land a position with her company.

I obviously passed and found a better recruiter!

Your reply has made some things clear.
I was unsure of the process and thought it a little odd that they were focusing on getting my paperwork with no word of interviews.
I might just clarify that I need to secure a job before sending paperwork...
I mean, why should we limit ourselves to one company we have no experience of.
What company did you use in the end?
Also, they told me it would be very difficult to secure a job in Busan.
Do you think I should persist with Busan?
Thanks
Smile

I went through a company called Touch4Teaching. They have been fantastic to me.

Oh, and another thing I disliked about ESL Park was that the recruiter would leave me voicemail at all hours of the night- and sounded upset that I was not able to take her call. I just found her to be quite rude!

ESL Park angers me because they spam me with too much information about the teachers that have applied with them (full photos, too). I get bulk e-mails from them with 25+ teachers listed.

If I had applied with them, I'd probably be upset that they were treating my application this way.

I would be careful of sending any documents to a recruiter without first procuring a job and signing a contract.

My girlfriend and I used Adventure Korea and really liked them. They were small but very friendly and weren't put off by our rather picky search. We only wanted a couples job, in Bundang or Ilsan, and passed on about a dozen offers they founds us before we took the job at CDI that they found. They spent at least a month working with us and never gave up.
