What are some things you never experienced until you came here?
Coming from a small town and having been here a while, there are many experiences I first experienced in Korea.
1. taking a taxi
2. getting married
3. having the Internet in my home
4. eating Korean food
5. visiting an embassy
6. getting a cavity filled
7. using a digital camera |

Getting hit by an old man on a scooter who was driving the wrong way down the road AND blowing through a red light...
Bright side, he was an idiot wearing shorts and a t-shirt, so while I only took a glancing blow off of my leg and arm he ended up scratching the hell out of his arms and legs when he was dragged a foot or two with the bike sliding on him... Serves him right, ***hole...  |

I came to Korea back in the mid-90s. Back then, a lot of people did not have the Internet at home and many people did not have digital cameras either. My first dica was a 2MP Olympus that cost over 300 dollars.
I never needed a filling until living here for over 10 years without fluoridated water.
Never needed a taxi as I always had a car. |

1. The complete absense of what I thought was logic in every conceivable aspect of it's society.
2. Abstinance to the point of a complete absense of logic.
3. A country who's modus operendi is pseudo-controlled chaotic entropy.
Other than the three statements above, I love this country!! |

as for me:
- eating dog
- receiving envelopes full of cash
- being told i look 'as handsome as wayne rooney'
- playing guitar and singing in front of a thousand people
- being told to fXXX off back to america (nb. i'm not from america)
- acting in a tv commercial
- waking up covered in my own vomit (it was only once, and i'm not proud of it. god bless soju) |
