I was fingerprinted electronically two days ago and am helplessly waiting for my background check to arrive in the mail.

Did anyone else have this done in California, and how long did it take to recieve the document? It's the last thing I need for my visa, so any info is hugely appreciated. Thanks!

Hey I got my done on the 24th of july in San Diego. I'll let you know when mine comes in. I read on the other thread that you did a local CBC too. If only we knew it would have saved us so much time.

i hear ya buddy. to my surprise and delight my CBC came in the mail today. It only took 3 days for me, like 72 hours total.

Yes, the same happened to me too.

I fingerprinted on Thursday afternoon, and received my letter in the mail on the following Monday. It usually takes about three days.

Where do you get the fingerprints? Like at any police station?

And then after you get it back, are you done? or now you take it to the apostille?

Is it required that you get a fingerprint check? In Illinois, we have the option of getting a name and birth date check. It's a bit cheaper and quicker. I have been told that this is all that's needed as far as CBC.
