I have been to 4 different theaters looking for the movie with English subtitles and can't find it.
Has anyone in Busan seen this movie and know where i can see it with the subtitles. Any help would be great. I get the feeling I could watch this movie without knowing what they're saying, so i may break down and watch it without the subtitles if i have to. |

nice. thank you. of course this theater couldn't be any farther from me, i live in Jangsan, but it's good to know there is somewhere i can go see it. |

| watched the movie without subtitles. I understood about 90% of the story, but not all the dialogue b/c of the Busan dialect. Overall, it was pretty good. Some funny parts... took along time to develop the characters though before the Tsunami hits. |

I watched it with subtitles at Yongsan CGV.
Tiny tiny spoiler alert:
I was surprised that the first half or so was drama - I was expecting the disaster to kick in right away.
It wasn't a bad movie, but in the end there was much too much melodrama for my liking. I haven't seen a lot of Korean films, so perhaps that's just standard cinematic practice. Also, big chunks struck me as having been lifted from Gag shows, which isn't my cup of tea.
All in all, it wasn't a bad way to spend an afternoon. |

Even Korean comedies will have a good 30 minutes of drama.
Koreans like melodrama and they like physical comedy.
The first half of the movie was pretty funny and even after the tsunami hit there was a laugh or two.

Uh, Yongsan is in Seoul. Are you thinking Yangsan?
I'm looking for a place with subtitles in Busan as well. Doesn't look likely. |

Yeah, one that comes to mind is the horrible memorial hall waterworks scene in Monster (The Host). Yikes. |

yes, i realized the yongsan/yangsan difference right after i posted my reply. stupid of me, i ask for theaters in busan that are showing it and i get responses on where to see it in seoul... shoulda expected it. you'd almost think that some people forget there's a whole country outisde that city in the north. |
