Do you love it? Do you hate it? Could you take it or leave it?

It depends on the school, curriculum, students, co-workers, etc. At my current school I absolutely love teaching 75% of the time and 25% of the time it can be frustrating beyond belief. However the great times always help me get through the bad parts and I'm extremely happy over all.

Could I take it or leave it? It's the most rewarding job I've had. I don't see myself doing it at 40, but then again, at 20 I didn't see myself doing this at 30, if that makes sense.

I've been teaching for half my life and it's just a part of who I am. I haven't been out of a classroom--either as a student or teacher--since I first started going into one at the age of five; my life revolves around semesters. I love teaching (testing and grading are different matters... Wink ).

I don't think I would like that at all.

When it's good it's very good but when it's bad it's awful.

I teach students at a variety of levels, from kindergarten to grade 5 at a Hakwon. My fifth graders are my most intense, hardworking class.... they are one of my favorites!

Everybody's different. I find that I don't mesh well with students in high school and below. Everybody upwards of there is great.
