|
|
http://www.seoulesl.com/
I've seen this recruitment company mentioned a few times and it's supposedly focused strictly on Seoul schools. Only thing is, I can't tell what the hell's going on with this site. I wouldn't even figure it was a recruitment company just from looking at the site if I'd never of it. From what I can tell you fill out a profile and upload a picture and it's visible to anyone who visits the website. But what happens from there I have no idea.
Anyone? |

Be careful.
I've been mentioning ESL Seoul and recommending it --- but the web address you gave is NOT it...
www.eslseoul.com
That is the address for the place I've been talking about. It is part of something called Oxford Education.
My guess is that that other site is trying to ride the coattails of this other agency that does say it only recruits for the government programs.
I'm not through the process yet with eslseoul.com, but they have been good so far and better than in my previous experience with recruiters in the late 1990s. |

wow, haha. Thanks. Will check out.
Although from the looks of the site you gave, they don't exclusively recruit for Seoul schools... |

I think that is true for Oxford Education as a whole and that ESL Seoul is a branch of the company.
Here is their description on Dave's job board:
Quote: |
ESL SEOUL is a specialized recruiting agency Just for the public school in
SEOUL by the official contract with Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education (SMOE) |

I used seoulesl.com last year for my first contract at a hagwon in Seoul and I'm currently going through them for my second contract as well. The nice thing about seoulesl is that they only specialize in jobs in Seoul. Other recruiters I had contacted told me they had jobs in Seoul, but then tried to get me to take jobs outside of Seoul, even though that's not what I wanted.
So, I would say seoulesl.com is fine if you want to find a job in Seoul city. |

Hmm, yeah I thought this was a different site. I'll still definitely be looking into that ESLSeoul site, though.
As for Seoul ESL, as I asked in the original post, how exactly does that site work? Half it it's in Korean and I can't tell exactly what happens after I put up my profile.
Oh, and were you happy with the job they found you? |
