That schedule sucks ass....
The only benefit is if you hit clubs and bars religiously....but you could also get a 1-7pm schedule and do the same....
I have a friend who does 1-7pm and fills the new few hours with privates....at least he's making a ton of cash...and even then, he quit it after awhile. |

At least you don't have split shifts. Don't worry about it. Just have fun and roll with it man, you'll have a good time. I can tell that you'll be able to handle Korea just fine.
Cheers. |

3-11 is a bit long, even for me. I do 4-10 and love it. It's six solid hours of teaching with 5 minute breaks. I'm usually not tired by the time I finish but if I added an extra hour to both sides I think I might be. Depends on if you're teaching straight for that time or if you've got a lunch/dinner break.
Anyways, I'm a night owl, so I love teaching in the afternoon/evening. Last year I taught 10-6 and it got exhausting. |

Well there is a one hour break, and some days are actually 230-1030... So maybe the hours are even a little better than the poll suggests |

I am , always have been, and always will be nocturnal. Not only do I love staying out late but all I have to do is wake up 2-3 hours early and I can get everything I need done for the day.
That old tag "I get more done before noon than most people do all day." was a laugh till I started working nights.
At that point my dream changed to being a stay at home dad.
You hear that rich Asian girls?
You make a few babies then work your arses off while I chase them kids to the corral and spend the rest of my day in a stupor after I clean for about 30 mins.
I'm a Marine, I cook, I clean, I iron, and I F* like a wild stallion.
Sure the first couple years are hell, but my god does the Asian school system favor a stay at home mom (or dad), no wonder so many of them do it. Remember summer in the west? Three months with that brat, no wonder we all spent a month at summer camp.
Unless you are one of those morning crazies, or a goofy hippie then work afternoons. Heck even if you are a morning crazy you should adjust nicely. Imagine having your free time when all the important businesses are OPEN. Then you get off just as all the grocery stores drop the deep discounts on fresh products. |

Good point, I think I would prefer the afternoon/evening shift when I head over there. The only problem would be that my brain seems to start shutting down at around 9 or so, but I'm sure I would get used to it. |

Great post. Do a lot of grocery stores stay open late and give the fresh discount after 11? Which ones? |
