So, the date is coming close for me to head out to Korea, but there are still a few things I'm wondering would be better to bring or just leave and buy there.

Bedsheets, blankets etc- I'm only going to be there for one semester (Two if my school allows it) and they have a store that sells them to students at an affordable price apparently.

Rollerblades- I like to rollerblade around at home, but I have no idea how the whole Bicycles/Rollerblades/etc work around in Korea. I figure it's similar, but eh. You never know. I won't be heartbroken if there aren't that many paths.

Electric Converters/Transformers- Mainly for my laptop.

Yeah, nothing big or serious. Just thinking more about the little things now.

1) you answered your own question...is the affordable price worth carrying them across the ocean?

at yonsei they provide you with "bedsheets" but its just a thin blanket,

id be surprised if they provide you with western style/good bedsheets, so its up to you.

2) I've only ever seen rollerblades on the trash collectors in everland...but I see no reason not to bring them, just be warned that Seoul is crowded and it will probably be hard to move around effectively on them. there are NO bikepaths (that i've seen, coming from Montreal which is like made for bicycles its kind of disheartening), you will be rollerblading either on the side walk (which is what people do w/ scooters/motorcycles anyway) or on the street.

rules of the road are loose terms here, I panicked the first time i saw a scooter plow through some people on a crosswalk.

3) definitely bring converters as all plugs here are European style, otherwise you're gonna be using a PC bang or have to go buy one at e-mart or yongsan market or some such place, which is a pain and not really worth it.

That's too bad about the bike paths. I lived right near Bord-Du-Lac in Montreal, which is just great for it. But eh. I'll bring them anyway. Never know. Might be a park I can zoom around.

As for the rest, sounds like I'll be doing some more packing. XD
