Howdy,
Last night I was attempting to install Windows 7 on a partition on my second hard disk and after installing the files when it went to reboot Id get a white writing on black error screen Saying that Winload.exe is missing or corupt along with an error code. After booting back to XP I checked the partition and all the files were there, including the mentioned Winload.exe. I was trying to install it on the second (logical) partion of a terabite drive. Any thoughts appreciated.

Thank you, though I am familiar with Google and have already been following that line of inquiry. Anyone else?

Did you try EasyBCD?

I have done this a couple of times - dual-boot installed Windows 7 on an otherwise XP machine - and needed to use EasyBCD to get the boot choice menu up. Installing Windows 7 overwrites the previous OS on the bootloader.

You would be surprised how many folks don't use Google well, especially regarding computer problems.

I thought this as he didn't note the error code; knowing this usually goes hand in hand with knowing what is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, and that often is parallel with using Google to fix problems.

Nice ring in joeyjoejoejoejoejoejoejoe.......too bad you can't help outright.
