Is this OK? To work PT at two different branches. My director thinks it is, and will ask immigrations this week. Says he can get me an E-2 even as just PT.
Lots of travel from central Seoul, but would up my pay about 500,000 a month, maybe. |

The school should be under a corporate name for both locations. If its under the same corporate name it is fine. If not, your breaking the law.
If you get caught, the school and you will be fined. Also you risk the chance of being deported.

It is okay by Immigration - as long as the first school signs for your E-2 visa and then also approves and signs the "Additional place of Employment" piece of paper that gets given to immigration. Takes a week - then you can have the 2 P-T- schools on the same visa.

Nope. I got busted working at my school 7 months into my contract. I had no idea that my boss had signed me to his other school of the same franchise name... he swore black and blue that it was OK for us to work at both locations (I worked at the place I was assigned to every wednesday but the other days at my main location).
Immigration came literally busting in one day, demanded passports etc. and I told me & two co-workers (who were all assigned to the other school) that we were working illegally and would be fined or deported My boss must have done some smooth talking (or taken the immigration guys out for lots of soju) because it was all smoothed over and my visa & ARC were both updated.
It's perfectly legal if you get permision from Immigration to add an an additional place of employment. If the two business have different addresses, you need to get permission from Immigration.

| Derrek did mention that his employer would be asking immigration.....this is wise and make sure that it gets noted on the back of your alien registration card by immigration before starting at the second location...not just word of mouth okay passed on by the boss. Good luck. |
