I know that for the most part, the climate in Korea is just about the same all over with slight variations.
But are there any places that have particularly cool summers or colder climates? Places that do not have that hot, humid summer? Is there any escape from it? Where? |

it's hotter than hell on the Caribbean coast of Colombia right now and humid to boot, but while stateside the weather was springlike and I was told it has been an unusually cool summer in the US this year (in the Midwest at least)
other than that, I'd say try below the equator when they are now having their winter.
or Greenland |

Cool thanks. So I guess there are no cities like this? Just small towns in the mountains? |

on the Korean peninsula, you're SOL.
best bet is to find towns elevated in the mountains.
to the best of my knowledge you're SOL in South Korea, but have better luck up north.
Hence my suggestion of Hyesan on the Yalu
go "hiking" or something. Bill Clinton will come and get you out |
