So I am going to Taiwan for Chuseok and I don't know where to go. I want to go to hot springs and have a more relaxed time since I will only be there
for a short time. Something not crowded, good scenery and at least one hot spring. Any suggestions???? |

Just got back Tuesday. Check out Hualien. I really liked it and it sounds like it could be what you're looking for. And just a 2-3 hour train ride from Taipei. |

If you want a cheap hot spring, that is in Taipei get on MRT and go to Xinbeitou station, there is a public hot spring there which cost $40 NTD. If you want the best scenery in Taiwan go to Hualien and do a tour of Taroko Gorge.
Other good places include the Taipei Zoo, Sun Moon Lake (Nantou County), Danshui and Keelung. Taipei also has great night markets, the best being Shilin night market and Shida Night Market. |

| I forget the name of my hotel but it was right near the beach about 3-4 stars and was about 60-75 USD per night. If you go to Hualien make sure you go to Taroko Gorge. |
