Is it just me or does this look like it happened in Korea somewhere? Anyone know where this is?

site could possibly have some NSFW ads, not sure.

Classic piece of driving by the car! Although it ended up being that twisted hunk of metal at the end of the video. Did he lose control of his car completely?

Looks like it was at Nonhyeon Station. Line 7.

The news report says one killed, and 8 injured. I'd say the dead guy would be in the car. Only saw one person in harms way on the sidewalk. I think he jumped out of the way.

There's a bus number visible. You could do a route search on the Seoul govt website if you care enough.

I showed this to my Korean MiL. She didn't know where it was.

what was the driver of the car attempting to do? was he trying to pass someone? It didn't look like there was any car in his lane.

Last week, my taxi drove against oncoming traffic on the highway so that he could u-turn into an exit. I'm no longer surprised at Korean drivers.

My guess is the car driver was attempting to commit suicide by bus. It appears that he saw the space to hit the bus head-on and intentionally swerved. Maybe he couldn't get access to a bridge or building to jump off that day.

On the other hand, I thought the bus driver handled the situation pretty well, although I would have hated to be on my bike in the next lane as he swerved. Would have made me road kill.

Someone died, an awful accident. Even worse, a parent and child involved.

What's most disturbing is that the driver of the bus seemed eerily calm about the whole thing. Like "Oh great some moron is going to have me filling out paperwork till 3AM AGAIN" Makes me wonder if this is a common occurance. Dude might as well have been like "Oh great incoming mortars, going to be out filling up craters all day."
