				hey,

I was recently offered a contract and the sick leave was not mentioned. The job sounds really good and id like to take it but i dont know how to ask about this tactfully and still make a good impression, do you have any suggestions? |

Just ask the question! Some school do not put it in as people will abuse it. Half of the schools that do that will say - hey if you are sick you will get time off. The other half will harrass you and tell you that Koreans never take a sick day off.

Just be polite and ask. Also speak to the other teachers about their experiences. |

Labor laws in Korea do not obligate employers to give you sick days by law... sick days are contractual only.

Request that a sick leave clause be put in before you sign. If they refuse, don't sign. Full stop. |
