OK, I'm about 85% sure that I'll work in Korea after my contract ends (end of February). I don't think I'll renew at my school. It's an after school program, which I didn't realize when being hired was a hagwon and all about the money.
I'm wondering when I should start looking for a new position?
I'd prefer to work at a PS, high school if possible.
So, really, what do I do about references? I'm not sure when/how to tell the company that I won't renew my contract.
If I need to start looking now for a position, what should I do? I believe I will get great remarks from my boss (if they don't try something crazy like I've read on here to screw me), but could this be a reason to be fired early? I mean, is job hunting half way through a contract OK? |

yeah he will start making your life difficult or fire you for no good reason. I recommend against high school because lesson plans require more planning. PS isnt all it's cracked out to be. You will have to dedicate yourself more to getting along with the other teachers. |

OK, thanks for the words.
So, should I just return home for a month or two, and look for a job while I'm back home?
I really wanted to return home anyway for a month. Seems like that'd be the best route? |

Start contacting some recruiters. Tell them what you are doing now and what you want to do. You might have to do all the paperwork over again unless you can transfer the visa. GEPIK has time frames so look into that. If you can get hired in feb or march you might be able to get a vacation. |
