OK, so I am in a peculiar position. I am signed up to take the September 26th LSAT (thinking about law school not 100% so thought i'd take it and have it on record since it is good for 5 years). So I want to get a teaching job ASAP and was wondering if

a) its reasonable to expect getting a job for the fall this late in the game

b) if its reasonable to expect getting a job for the fall that starts AFTER my september LSAT

c) if it is possible to take the LSAT in Korea?

Thanks for your intelligent and thoughtful replies! Cool

It depends. If you are interested in public schools, SMOE has a few positions left, but it is highly likely they would want you to start as soon as possible, likely before September 26.

If you are willing to work in Gangwon-do, I know they hired people on various dates throughout the fall last year, so their contracts will be expiring in October and November, so perhaps you could apply for one of those positions.

As far as taking the LSAT in Seoul, you should check the website you used to register for the exam to see the other available locations and dates. I don't know of any other source used to register for the LSAT exam, but perhaps someone else does.

Good luck to you!

Do you mean it is full? I saw that there is one scheduled at Yonsei University in Seoul in September.

You should start the process for applying to Korea anyway, if it is something you think you want to do. There are usually limited positions that open later in the fall. Or you could apply to a hogwan if you really want to work in Seoul. Busan is a nice city also. I know someone who got a public school job there in the middle of the semester. Things will work out, you'll see.
