I watched the movie a few weeks ago; I would much rather see the first two movies, but not too bad.
Side not: be careful, some theaters may have this animation dubbed in Korea. Ensure you check the movie listings and call the cinema to make sure.

Anybody see "Public Enemies" yet? Watched the preview and have to say it looks good.

Saw the movie in the states.... It wasn't what I expected it to be. To me it dragged A LOT. Johnny Depp is a great actor though. Didn't really feel Christian Bale's actor. But yeah, this is just my opinion. O yeah, it was really long too

I saw "Public Enemies" last night, and although I liked a lot of the action, I was really, really put off by the scenes that were shot in HD instead of on film. Given that the story is supposed to be set during the Great Depression, I was instantly taken out of the film by some blatantly digital-looking shots. I know Michael Mann digs his HD, but it was a little ridiculous.

And I agree with the previous poster. 2 hours and 40 minutes was looooong.

Public Enemies was a well-made borefest. At the 1 hour mark I felt like I had been in the theater for a full 2 hours. Many of my favorite movies are long, but this thing didn't earn its running time and had me trying in vain to fall asleep during it
