An American man has been honored by local rescue authorities for saving two Korean students from drowning, officials here said Wednesday, according to Yonhap News.
Daniel Smith, a 23-year-old English instructor on a two-week visit to this southwestern port city, deserves full credit for saving two college students, both aged 19, whom he noticed in trouble off a beach in Mokpo, 410 km south of Seoul, Monday night, said the officials.
After pulling them from the water, Smith administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation to one of the students whose condition was precarious. |
