Hey hey cats and kids,

Sent cash home using KBStar's ATM overseas remittance two weeks ago, as I have done many many times in the last year... Usually it only takes 2-3 days to process and the money appears in my account back home (Which I check online)... However, this batch hasn't hit my account yet...

Wondering if anyone else has had delays recently... Gonna start making some phone calls tomorrow...

Never heard of a 2 week delay, you should have went to the bank after a week. I hope you saved your remittance receipt.

I sent money home from Hana Bank to Scotia Bank in Canada almost every month this year and it always took about 10 -12 days I don't know why, and whenever I tell people they always say it takes them 2- 4 days. At least it was consistent, so I knew there wasn't a problem. If it's different this time for you maybe something went wrong, have you called your banks yet?

Please let us know what you learn. We need to send money home through KB on Monday, and we're planning on the typical 2-3 days, not 2+ weeks!

Money has been sent home on a regular basis and have used KB and NH bank and always got the money within 24 hrs...the latest was 48 and that was due to a weekend and the cutoff time receiving back in the states...

Just sent money home last month and early this month. Piece of cake...less than 24 hrs.

Speaking of sending money home, how much do your banks charge in remittance fees? Ive been using NH, and its 40,000 a pop + american bank fees ($12). Gotta be something cheaper than that.... Rolling Eyes

KB charges 5,000 won through their ATM service, very convenient.

I pay 8,000 with KEB online. If I send money in the morning, it is in my account by the time I get home from work.

It's taking so long cuz you are dealing with the most incompetent bank on earth, Scotia Bank. They are a poor excuse for an advanced world financial institution, and they survive on money they siphon and steal from Canadians' bank accounts through 'fees' and 'mistakes'.

Pushed the buttons yesterday, cash in my account today... Probably my fault the first time around (Pushed the wrong button or something lol)...

For anyone still looking to send cash home, you can't beat KB's atm overseas remittance (unless you're set up with KEB's internet banking I suppose, lol)
