So I start working again next week and I still haven't straightened out my banking. I finally signed up for a KEB account last Friday but I can't get a digital certificate issued (for online banking).
There are three pages worth or entries, as far as I know. I make it through the first that requires the arc number and account name. I make it through the second that requires the account number, account pin and security card info. The third page though I don't make it through. This page requires my name (english), phone number, address and email. I get an error 214 each time. I've tried reordering my name with the last name first, I've tried a different address. Same error. I *think* the address may need to be in Korean. There are problems getting the website working under windows 7 for me though so I've been using a winxp virtual machine. Unfortunately I left my winxp disk in the US so I can't install the language pack under XP (fixing that tomorrow).
I'm going to be making a few calls tomorrow looking for a KEB thats open on Sunday (there are a few but hey offer different services). I'm posting here with the hope that someone knows what this error means. Any thoughts? |

Call them up. They have English speaking staff. They also can remote control your computer to help you set it up. Korean website's like this: they may have things in English, but often with errors... whereas the Korean version is error free. So get them to do it for you remotely with you watching them click-click-click and you'll be done in no time. |
