American and Japanese pornography producers have filed a collective lawsuit against 10,000 Korean Internet users for piracy ― but local lawyers are divided over the litigation.
One group of lawyers said their copyright must be protected even though the porn business is illegal here, but other lawyers said the lawsuit does not make sense as the business is not legal in Korea.
[insert: cough, cough, cough]
Police said Thursday that a group of 50 pornography producers in the two countries have filed a lawsuit against the Koreans for allegedly uploading films onto file-sharing Web sites and then charging subscribers to download them........... |

the problem lies in the Korean websites charging money for them
they do the same thing with music and movies
Korean can download music and movies for a cheap price - but the money is not going to the movie or music industry, it's going to the guy who owns the website |

I can't find any clear answers on here or on the internet anywhere.

It's always best to test the waters oneself. If you are arrested, you will know for sure and then you can share the details with us |

I don't get it. If that is the case, then how come some cable networks offer it? Why doesn't the govt shut them down? I'm not denying the illegality of it, but just confused with this discrepancy. |
