Transmission is great now since they worked out all the bugs that caused me to switch over to uTorrent Mac beta.

I found uTorrent to have much better speeds, but now IT'S bugs drive me nuts.

Don't bother with the MacBooks. The screen is too small.

Obviously, personal preference, but I use a new MacBook to run high-end audio apps for DJing and the 13.3 inch screen is fine. Any bigger and it would take up way too much space in tight quarters. Also, the 13.3's are much, much better on airplanes because they don't crowd the tray-table. The 13.3 is perfectly fine. I did have a 15 inch MB Pro before this current computer and it did take about a day to get used to the smaller screen on the MB, but you really don't notice the smaller size after you've used it a bit.

I only wish they made 13.3 inch MB Pros.

Screen size is all about personal preference of course. There is no right answer, I am merely suggesting that you can get used to the smaller size and in many cases, come to prefer the gain in portability. I hated carrying that monster 15 inch MB around, I could not even image the bulkiness of a 17 inch model! I carry my computer everywhere so I love the lower profile of the new MacBooks. Your mileage may very.

If screen size is THAT big of a deal, I recommend getting a Cinema Display and hooking that up to your computer when you're at home. The CinDisp has the extra advantage of being one heck of a TV/movie monitor.

As far as MS Office.. there is absolutely zero reason to ever spend $200+ dollars and load that POS program on a Mac. iWork is far superior, cheaper and has a much lower footprint than Office. It also doesn't try to think for you like Office. Office seems to want to guess at everything you're trying to do. "It seems like you are writing a letter, do you want help?" Blah, blah, blah. That dumb program must have been written for functional illiterates- yet it's one of the least sparkling programs out there. (compared to iWork at least.)

Spotify (http://www.spotify.com/en/), but only if you reside in the UK, Finland, France, Norway, Spain or Sweden - not very helpful on here, but still. Free, unrestricted - and legal - music. Will expand to more countries in the future so watch this space...
