So I'm going for a visa interview next week in New York. And I have a few questions for the expat English teacher hive mind. I have my visa number, but one of the requirements on the consulate website for E-2 visas is "A certificate for recognition of visa issuance issued by the Korean Ministry of Justice". What is this?
Also should I have my flight or departure date before my interview?
I know that I could have searched it but the search feature doesn't work. You'd think that the mods who are so intent on monitoring our language to keep this board a paragon of civil professional discussion would put even an iota of work into the design of the site. It's like having a white gloved tea party in a woodshed. |

It just means your visa number. Not a physical piece of paper. Just write it down for them.

Don't worry about your tickets. You won't need them. Many people don't get their tickets until after they get their visas.

Don't worry about the consulate interview. Mine was on the phone as AZ was deemed too far from Los Angeles. It took 2 minutes. All I was asked was to confirm my Music degree, how much teaching experience I had and how long my contract was for. After I had my visa, the school bought my ticket. |
