|
|
Hey there...
I applied for my korean wife's canadian immigration some months back. I was approved as a sponsor and now they ( the canadian embassy in seoul) is processing her paperwork since july 2009. Just thought i would ask if anyone here did the immigration process recently ( 2009)? And how long did it take for them to process the paperwork? Im well aware of the canadian gov immigration website with all the time estimates soo im not looking for any links. On the website they estimate it takes anywhere from 2-6 months.
Anyways Just want to know other peoples experience and how long it really took them.
Thanks |

Yeah, I had problem with the stuff in Canada (forgot to sign something) but that still took only a little over a month, and the stuff in Korea (a passport date issue), and it still took around a month.
Expect it pretty soon, man. |

Torronto , Thanks for the answer! seems like 1 month is common. If thats the case my wife should hopefully be getting her visa by early september.
Captain Corea, Cool Thanks. The sponsorship part was smooth sailing for me. I'm a bit worried about my wife's end of things. Alot more things could go wrong in that aspect. I have a feeling they might as her to redo her Immigration Photos.
Anyways thanks |

Ummm YOu know how korean girls can be about pictures lol. The picture instructions werent exactly clear on the immigration papers. They dont mention if the girl should show her ears , take off earings ect.. ect.. ( like they have to do in the USA) It just had some drawing of an oval for a head and some shaulders saying to center the picture. The korean guy taking the picture didnt know what to do with it but ended up just taking korean/ american style immigration pictures. I had to fight with him so that he doesnt "photoshop" the picture. Even then he still touched it up lol... My wife on the other hand didnt want to show her ears and take off her ear rings soo we ended up with an intesting picture that im not quite sure is going to pass their requirements if they are picky about it... SOOO well see. |
