Why relate non-drinking to religion? I rarely drink because I like to wake up in the morning and do stuff....ride, hike...whatever. Nothing to do with having a superstitious belief.....

The OP's screen name is also known as the last verse of the Bible, and it goes like this:
The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God's people. Amen (Revelation 22:21)

For this reason, I thought that he'd be interested.

The OP needs to grow a pair before coming to Korea or he (she?) will be used like a blow up doll. If you don't want to friggin' drink say:

"No thank you, I don't drink."

Fill up your glass, share the toast, whatever, then tip it out. Or toast with lemonade or something. You don't HAVE to do anything you don't want to. You don't have to drink.

There's no reason to be pretending to drink. As you say, just toast with something else--usually, that's cider.

Why am I thinking of Clint Eastwood about to gun someone down and for what, not drinking? Of course non-drinkers are quicker on the draw therefore Clint must gun them down or be gunned down himself, unexpectedly.

Alwright, like the saying, 'never trust a man (or woman) who doesn't have any bad habits'.

What, like a monk or a nun? No, wait a minute Clint don't gun 'em down!

Too late. Meanwhile, back with the prospective borgs in the hof, shooting Chilsung Cider with the girls, an effective strategy, pretending it's soju, banging the table and exlaiming, 'agghhh', and watching the door.....

There is nothing wrong with drinking, it relaxes a person.
