Back in the 80s my grandmother bought me a golliwog doll, which magically disappeared as soon as her visit was over.

My hippy parents didn't let me have a golliwog, but they allowed the homo-erotica of 'Thunder Punch He-Man'.....who was obviously on the juice.

Complete with small, swallowable steel parts and sharp edges.

For me, it was Star Wars, GI Joe, Transformers, and Lego.

Star Wars was cool, but once Jedi came around, I bought maybe, three characters, and then switched to GI Joe. I liked the Transformers cartoons, but the toys were a bit difficult to play with. Especially if you had a bunch that merged into something else. I had the Combaticons who would form into Bruticus, and he would fall apart all the time. Legos are just cool all the way around.

I just remembered something with my GI Joe guys. On a few of them, I would make a hole by driving a nail through the chest. Then I ripped apart a camouflage flannel shirt that my mom got for me and made little ponchos for my characters. Then I'd take some skewer sticks out of the kitchen and impale the characters. Fun times.

I didn't scan the whole thread so this might be a repeat....
Anyone remember the handheld electronic football and baseball games that were LCD based and had beeps for sound effects? I think they were made by a company called Tiger.

Domino Rally was also big for a minute.

Couldn't get the pic to hold but anyone remember the Evil Knievel motorbike that you wound up with that little hand held rotor device and then you hit a button and sent him roaring down the hallway? Very Happy

Loved that toy. Making him jump my unsuspecting cat after secretly placing a ramp in front of him as he slept. LOL

Edit: hmm. How were the posters who posted images able to do this? Is this a privilege one has to earn through some mysterious combination of posts and moderator favor, or are people just using html instead of the image tags?

Edit #2: Ah, I see.
